A news network has been forced to abandon its broadcast after a mob of masked Muslim men heckled the network’s crew.
According to the National Pulse, conservative-leaning Sky News was forced to abruptly end its live broadcast amid riots in the United Kingdom. At the time of the incident, the news crew was at the English city of Birmingham in the West Midlands. Sky News reporter Becky Johnson had been broadcasting live as Muslim counter-protesters strolled around the area.
Moments later, a balaclava-clad man followed Johnson and her news crew, making gun-firing hand gestures in front of the camera. The man of South Asian heritage also shouted “Free Palestine” and condemned the long-defunct English Defense League (EDL) that opposed South Asian grooming gangs in the country.
This same man, who had been holding a knife, attempted to stab the tire of Sky News‘ van. Fortunately, the tire wasn’t damaged and the news crew – with Johnson in tow – was able to drive away.
The protests and the counter-demonstrations against them were sparked by the deadly mass stabbing of multiple victims at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in the seaside town of Southport in England. The casualties included several young girls, their teachers and a man in his sixties who tried to help the victims.
The suspect has been identified as Axel Muganwa Rudakubana, who was born in Wales to two Rwandan migrants. Protests over his violent act have been building up near mosques and hotels hosting migrants. The demonstrators have linked Rudakubana’s mass stabbing to broader failures of mass migration and integration.
Protesters in the English city of Bristol were heard chanting slogans such as “We want our country back” and “England ’til I die.” Counter-protesters responded with chants of “racist scum, off our streets.”
Another incident, this time in Rotherham, saw about 100 pro-refugee demonstrators and police officers gathering outside a hotel that housed migrants and asylum seekers. Things came to a head when anti-migration protesters stormed the hotel building and reportedly smashed windows.
More than 30 protests were planned and additional riot police were deployed, albeit not all of those were violent. Muslim counter-protesters were also seen on the streets, occasionally attacking Whites – with the mainstream media suppressing reports of such incidents. Moreover, the police appear to be adopting a much less aggressive stance toward the Muslim counter-protesters and exhibiting zero tolerance toward those protesting unchecked migration.
In response, newly elected British Prime Minister (PM) Keir Starmer has pledged “emergency security” measures for mosques. He has also offered a commitment to tackling “far-right thuggery,” a factor he blamed for the recent civil unrest. The British PM announced a “new rapid process” aimed at providing mosques with “additional security personnel.” The emergency measure is an extension of the existing Protective Security for Mosques Scheme, which has a budget of up to £29.4 million ($38 million) this year. While the initiative seeks to offer immediate protection to Muslim communities, no such safety protocols are offered for White, British areas.
